Davido came from a wealthy family, he was determined to succeed on his terms through his music. He left his father's $60 million mansion to sleep in his friend's hot studio.

Davido's breakthrough came in 2011 when he released his debut single, "Back When," featuring Naeto C. The song was an instant hit, and it caught the attention of a lot of music lovers in Nigeria. After the success of his first single, Davido continued to release hit after hit, including songs like "Dami Duro," "Gobe," "Aye," and "Fall." These songs solidified him as one of the biggest artists in the Nigerian music industry today.

His album, "A Good Time," released in 2019, became his first number-one album on the US iTunes chart, further cementing his status as a global superstar.

Davido hasn't just focused on his music. He recognizes that he has a platform to make a positive impact on society, and he's used it to support various charities. He's worked with organizations like the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Save the Children UK and many others. In 2020, he donated funds to support COVID-19 relief efforts in Nigeria.
